NEP 2020 aims to expand the goal of education to building a student’s character and creating a well-rounded individual possessing key 21st-century skills. It plans to identify specific skills and values across domains to integrate at each stage of learning, from preschool to higher education.

Adoption of experiential learning

  • Exploring inter-relations of various subjects.

A higher focus will be given to achieving learning outcomes by shifting classroom teaching towards competency-based education rather than completion of syllabus.

Assessment tools will also be aligned with the learning outcomes and capabilities to be achieved in each subject for a given class.
